JCS 211 Miami, provided by JCS for Miami-Dade and Monroe counties, and part of Florida 2-1-1 Contact Centers, will be part of this initiative.

Summer BreakSpot provides free meals and snacks for children and teens ages 18 and younger while school is not in session. The program offers breakfast, lunch, supper, and/or snacks at no cost to families and is available at familiar community locations including schools, parks, libraries, and community centers. No application is required.

The initiative serves as a critical resource for families across Florida, helping ensure that children continue to have access to nutritious meals during the summer months. This effort complements the JCS 211 Miami Summer Camp Initiative, which connects families to additional support and enrichment opportunities throughout the season.

This work directly aligns with the JCS mission of caring for the most vulnerable populations, particularly children, by helping ensure that no one in the community goes hungry or is left without essential support.

“We are proud to help connect families to essential resources that support child wellbeing and food security during the summer,” said Marcella Cruz, JCS Contact Center director. “Access to meals should never be a barrier for children, and Summer BreakSpot helps ensure that no child is left without support when school is out.”
