When Miami natives and Breakwater Hospitality co-founders Alex Mantecon and Emi Guerra opened Regatta Grove in 2023, their vision wasn’t simply to create another nightlife concept. They had grown up visiting neighborhood institutions like Scotty’s Landing and the Chart House and wanted to bring new life to a beloved stretch of waterfront while preserving the laid-back spirit that had long defined the Grove.
Regatta Grove was designed as the next evolution of Breakwater’s outdoor hospitality model, one that embraced the sailing culture and coastal character of Coconut Grove while offering an experience that felt accessible to both locals and visitors.

Three years later, that vision has resonated. Regatta Grove has evolved into one of Miami’s most popular gathering places, drawing everyone from families during the day to boaters, young professionals, and visitors seeking the kind of open-air experience that has become synonymous with South Florida living. Along the way, it has helped cement Coconut Grove’s emergence as one of Miami’s most vibrant culinary and entertainment districts.
To mark the occasion, Regatta Grove will be hosting a massive day-to-night anniversary celebration on June 20 from 12PM to close, featuring a waterjet show, fire dancers, unique photo ops, and a live saxophone performance, along with a few other surprises. Guests who RSVP at RegattaGrove.com will receive a complimentary Regatta hat while supplies last.
