As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, South Miami residents and visitors can mark the occasion with an all-day Fourth of July celebration at one of the city’s most beloved neighborhood gathering spots.

On Saturday, July 4, Deli Lane Café & Tavern will host a full day of live music, festive entertainment, and a special hot dog and hamburger bar designed to bring the community together for Independence Day. Guests can enjoy classic Fourth of July favorites while soaking up the holiday atmosphere and live performances throughout the day.
The celebration begins at 3 p.m. with the Monchybiz Blues Band and continues into the evening with Electric Mayhem taking the stage at 9 p.m.
While the food, music, and vibe are reason enough to celebrate, this year’s event carries added significance. The 2026 celebration will be the final Fourth of July at Deli Lane’s longtime South Miami home before the restaurant moves into an exciting new location as part of the property’s redevelopment.
Since opening in 1988, Deli Lane has served as a neighborhood living room where friends meet for happy hour, families gather for brunch, and locals connect over coffee, cocktails, and conversation. For 38 years, the restaurant has been woven into the fabric of South Miami, becoming a gathering place where generations of residents have celebrated milestones, built friendships, and created lasting memories.
“We know a lot of people stay in town for the Fourth of July weekend, and we wanted to create a fun place for them to celebrate,” said co-owner Jahn Kirchoff. “Whether you’re stopping by to watch a game, grab a drink, or spend time with friends and family, we’re looking forward to having everyone join us.”
The timing feels especially fitting. As the nation reflects on 250 years of history, South Miami residents have an opportunity to celebrate a local institution that has helped shape the community for decades.

Although this marks the last Fourth of July at Deli Lane’s current location, it is far from a goodbye. The restaurant is preparing for an exciting future at the historic Dorn Building, located at the corner of Sunset Drive and US1. Expected to open this fall, the new location will allow Deli Lane to continue its tradition of bringing people together while beginning a new chapter in one of South Miami’s most recognizable landmarks.
The Fourth of July Celebration takes place Saturday, July 4, at Deli Lane Café & Tavern, located at 7230 SW 59 Ave. in South Miami. For more information, visit DeliLane.com.
