—Celebrate Independence Day at both ends of the city’s iconic coastline—
The City of Miami Beach is rolling out the red-white-and-blue carpet for the nation’s 250th birthday with two vibrant Fourth of July celebrations on Saturday, July 4. The festivities begin in North Beach at 5 p.m., where Altos Del Mar Park will come alive with family activities, music, food trucks, and a combined drone and fireworks show over the ocean. Guests can also roll into the patriotic spirit at the free outdoor roller disco at the Miami Beach Bandshell.
In South Beach, the celebration continues at 8:30 p.m., when the Ocean Drive Association hosts a patriotic concert by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival in Lummus Park at Ocean Drive and 12 Street, followed by a dazzling 9 p.m. fireworks display lighting up the shoreline.
“Two hundred and fifty years after our nation’s founding, the ideals of liberty and opportunity remain as relevant as ever,” said Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner. “As we gather across Miami Beach to mark this momentous anniversary, we celebrate the strength of our democracy and the spirit of a community that continues to move forward together.”
