This year’s contribution brings the organization’s total giving — through the Miami Kiwanis Youth Foundation — to approximately $2.8 million during the past 27 years.
“We know how challenging it has become for charitable organizations to meet rising costs while continuing to serve our community,” said Chuck Little, treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Miami. “We’re grateful to be able to help strengthen their efforts and expand opportunities for local youth. Supporting these programs remains our primary investment in the future of South Florida.”
Founded in 1921 and based in Kendall, the Kiwanis Club of Miami has funded youth sports and recreational initiatives since 2000. The Miami Kiwanis Youth Foundation was established through a bequest from longtime member and South Florida contractor Paul Zee, whose legacy continues to fuel the club’s philanthropic mission.
