The Miami Beach Bandshell has won a prestigious Gold Telly Award for its immersive production of Nu Deco Ensemble’s “Four Seasons for the Five Senses.” The production enveloped the audience with music, light and motion in an electrifying reimagination of the Vivaldi classic that aired on PBS South Florida.
“I am thrilled for The Rhythm Foundation, a homegrown Miami Beach cultural anchor which manages the iconic Miami Beach Bandshell on behalf of the city, and for world-renowned Nu Deco Ensemble, for this well-deserved achievement,” shared Miami Beach Commissioner Tanya Katzoff Bhatt. “I’m so proud to be a part of a city that invests in art and culture in a meaningful way to ensure that residents and visitors can enjoy world-class art and cultural experiences as part of their everyday lives.”
The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens and platforms in today’s evolving media landscape. Receiving more than 13,000 entries globally from six continents and all 50 states, the awards recognize outstanding work from some of the world’s most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers.
Including the gold award for the bandshell production, South Florida PBS picked up three Gold Telly Awards and one Bronze Telly Award at the 47th Annual Telly Awards. “For Miami Beach, this recognition is a testament to the incredible talent of our local cultural institutions, artists and partners who continue to elevate our city on the world stage,” said Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner. “By investing in our iconic venues, we are strengthening the foundation that allows Miami Beach to remain a global destination for world-class arts, culture and programming.”
Executive Director Adam Ganuza of The Rhythm Foundation said such awards help elevate the Miami Beach brand.
“We are so excited to bring the magic of the Bandshell to the nation through this partnership with South Florida PBS and Nu Deco Ensemble,” added Ganuza. “Like the historic venue itself, this performance exists at the intersection of history and modernity, reimagining Vivaldi’s classic masterpiece for the digital age. The Bandshell is a true cultural gem, and winning a Gold Telly Award beautifully validates our mission to push the boundaries of how world-class art is experienced.”
The production, “Four Seasons for the Five Senses” featured two-time GRAMMY Award nominee violinist Jennifer Frautschi. It was marked by breathtaking nature visuals and immersive soundscapes to capture the beauty, drama and renewal of nature’s changing seasons in a new way.
