EdFed’s Board of Directors and President and CEO Michael DiBenedetto hosted students and their loved ones for a special ceremony celebrating their accomplishments.
“This scholarship is our way of supporting the future of our younger members,” said DiBenedetto. “The impact this will have on the lives of these recipients embodies our mission of educating and empowering members to achieve their financial dreams.”
The Miami-based credit union launched its scholarship program in 1995. Since the inception of the program, EdFed has awarded $5.5 million in scholarships. The credit union has since expanded its scholarship offerings to include programs that benefit high school, college, graduate, and technical students.
Debbie Jusino, EdFed’s Scholarship Committee Chair, expressed enthusiasm for the future.
“It is incredibly rewarding to support students as they begin this important next chapter in their educational journey,” said Jusino. “The investment in these recipients is an investment in the future of our communities. We are so proud to help support their higher education.”
