This morning, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Blaise Ingoglia held a press conference at the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Florida Task Force 1 (FL-TF1) Training Site located in Miami, FL.

Joined by MDFR Fire Chief Ray Jadallah, Department of Emergency Management Assistant Director Jesse Spearo, Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero- Stutz, and elected officials, CFO Ingoglia spoke about hurricane preparedness, including proactive planning, updating insurance policies, protecting important documents, and safeguarding homes and properties to ensure South Florida is prepared ahead of a storm.

MDFR’s USAR FL-TF1 team, including canine handlers and their specially trained search dogs, was also present at the Training Site. They are highly trained in providing search and rescue support, disaster communications support, medical support, damage assessment, and coordination of relief supply distribution, and play a vital role in responding to and recovering from natural disasters.
