South Florida PBS (WPBT, WXEL, and Health Channel) is delighted to share an all-new program lineup for the month of June. As we embark on America’s 250th Anniversary celebration, we will feature educational content inspired by American history. This month, our channels will explore historical programs, music and art specials, immersive experiences, and powerful stories of courage, leadership, and perseverance. PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS:

South Florida PBS is excited to announce the return of the award-winning ocean exploration and marine life program Changing Seas. The show’s highly anticipated 18th season will premiere on WPBT on Wednesday, June 17, at 8 PM, and on WXEL on Sunday June 21, also at 8 PM. 

Leading up to the celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, programming will showcase inspiring stories and documentaries about American resilience and determination. 

One highlighted program is the documentary Becoming Katharine Graham, a story about overcoming tragedy and the reshaping of American journalism. The schedule will also feature the documentary American Experience – Ronald Reagan, which explores Reagan’s transition from a Midwestern upbringing to becoming the 40th President of the United States. 

Finally, viewers can look forward to the premiere of Amerigo – The Search for the American Dream, an original documentary available on PBS Passport that explores

whether there is a new definition of the American Dream and whether it is still attainable. 

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES:

This season explores multiple sclerosis, wellness trends, celiac disease, allergies, and much more. 

June is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, and the Health Channel spotlights programs focused on brain health, including stories and expert insight on memory loss and Alzheimer’s with programming such as The Resilient Brain and Memory & the Mind: What Science Tells Us About Brain Health Town Hall

Pride Month also takes place during June.
