The Gutierrez Community Health of the Miami Rescue Mission Clinic marked a major milestone with a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the launch of its new clinic and a reimagined approach to primary care in Miami-Dade County. The event brought together elected officials, civic leaders, a college president, Univision media personalities, hospital representatives, and community partners to honor 17 years of service and formally introduce a healthcare model designed to better meet the needs of the community.

Originally established in 2009 as part of The Caring Place at Miami Rescue Mission Inc, the Miami Rescue Mission clinic has since grown into its own independent 501(c)(3) organization. Today, Gutierrez Community Health builds on that legacy with a modern, patient-centered model that expands access to affordable, high-quality care.

The clinic offers residents a transparent alternative to traditional insurance: one flat monthly fee, no copays, no deductibles and no surprise billing. For $75 per month, members receive unlimited primary care visits, same-day appointments and direct access to their provider by phone, text or video. Low-cost labs and medications are included. A one-time $99 enrollment fee applies.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured remarks from emcee Alberto Sardiñas, keynote speaker Dr. Madeline Pumariega, President of Miami Dade College, and a distinguished group of speakers Commissioner Raquel Regalado of Miami-Dade County Commission District 7 which presented a proclamation in honor or Dr. Pete Gutierrez from the office of Mayor Cava, Antonio Villasuso President of The Caring Place, Dr. Pete Gutierrez of Gutierrez Community Health, and Gisela Bretones of Miami Rescue Mission Clinic and Gutierrez Community Health Initiative.

Among those in attendance were Councilman Kevin A. Burns of District 1 City of North Miami, Elena I. Angulo representing Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and additional attendees include representatives from the Wynwood Business Improvement District, Miami-Dade medical schools, university partners, hospitals, and community organizations from across Miami-Dade County.
