As Venezuela begins the long road to recovery following the devastating earthquakes, South Floridians answered the call to help. Community members gathered at PAWS4you Rescue recently to donate urgently needed supplies for families and pets affected by the disaster.

Although the Open House has concluded, the relief effort is far from over. Donations continue to be collected throughout the week and are transported to Venezuela every Sunday through humanitarian relief partners, ensuring aid reaches those who need it most as recovery efforts continue.
The donation drive collected essential items including pet food, leashes, collars, blankets, crates, non-perishable food, baby supplies, hygiene products, first aid items and other critical necessities that will help provide relief to those facing unimaginable hardship.
“When disaster strikes, families and their beloved pets need hope. Seeing our community come together to help complete strangers is incredibly inspiring,” said Carol Caridad, founder and executive director of PAWS4you Rescue.
Guests also had the opportunity to tour the shelter, met adoptable dogs and cats, and learned more about PAWS4you Rescue’s mission while contributing to an international humanitarian effort.
The initiative was made possible through the support of community partners, including Pet Supermarket and PetSmart, which continue serving as official collection sites for those who were unable to attend the event.
