Guerra-Kattou brings more than 30 years of banking experience and a distinguished record of leadership, innovation and community impact. Since joining U.S. Century Bank in 2016, she has played a pivotal role in the institution’s transformation, helping double assets to $2.8 billion and contributing to its recognition as one of the nation’s top-performing community banks.
“Martha’s leadership, dedication to our community and commitment to expanding access to financial opportunity make her exceptionally deserving of this honor,” said Luis de la Aguilera, Chairman, President, and CEO of U.S. Century Bank. “We are proud to celebrate her achievements alongside so many inspiring women across South Florida.”
Born in the United States to Cuban parents, Guerra-Kattou credits her family’s immigrant journey for shaping her values of service, resilience and entrepreneurship. Her father operated a successful day care in Homestead, creating opportunities for Hispanic families, while her mother, a community banker, inspired Guerra-Kattou’s career by demonstrating compassion and professionalism in serving customers.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized alongside such an extraordinary group of women who are making a meaningful impact in our community,” said Guerra-Kattou. “This recognition reflects not only my journey, but the values instilled in me by my family and the privilege of serving our clients and small businesses every day. I look forward to celebrating this milestone event and continuing to support opportunities that uplift and empower others.”
