ChamberSOUTH International Relations & Business Committee Meets July 1 via Zoom
ChamberSOUTH opens its July calendar with a working session for members focused on global business, holding its International Relations & Business Committee Meeting on Wednesday, July 1, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom, making it easy for members to drop in before the workday gets going.
The committee is one of several member-driven groups ChamberSOUTH runs to connect South Miami-Dade businesses with broader markets and to bring international-trade and cross-border issues to the local business community. The July session is chaired by Cesar Murillo, who is handling questions and access details for members who want to take part.
ChamberSOUTH serves South Miami, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay and the greater Kendall area, and its committees are a core membership benefit, giving business owners a regular seat at the table on the issues shaping commerce across South Dade. The International Relations & Business Committee meets monthly; following the July 1 session, the group is scheduled to convene again on August 5 and September 2, both at 8:30 a.m.
There is no admission charge for the committee meeting, and participation is geared toward ChamberSOUTH members and committee participants. Those interested in joining the committee or attending can reach out to chair Cesar Murillo at [email protected], or contact the Chamber directly.
ChamberSOUTH is headquartered at 6410 SW 80th Street, South Miami, FL 33143, and can be reached at 305-661-1621 or [email protected]. More information on committees, membership and the full events calendar is available at chambersouth.com.
ChamberSOUTH Hosts Small Business Workshop on “The Psychology of Business” July 7
ChamberSOUTH will hold a small-business workshop titled “The Psychology of Business” on Tuesday, July 7, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the ChamberSOUTH office, 6410 SW 80th Street, South Miami, FL 33143. The late-afternoon session is built for entrepreneurs and small-business owners looking to sharpen the human side of how they run and grow their companies.
The workshop is part of ChamberSOUTH’s ongoing small-business education series, which brings in subject-matter experts to walk members and the local business community through practical, applicable skills. This installment is presented in connection with GrowSpan Consulting and is aimed at the mindset, decision-making and interpersonal dynamics that drive business performance, the kind of “soft skills” that often separate businesses that stall from those that scale.
Seating at the Chamber office is limited, and advance registration is encouraged. Admission is $25 per person for ChamberSOUTH members and $35 per person for non-members. Tickets are nonrefundable, so attendees should confirm their schedules before registering.
The session doubles as a networking opportunity, putting South Dade business owners in the same room for ninety minutes of learning and connection before the evening. For a working owner, it is a low-cost, high-utility way to spend an afternoon and to meet peers facing the same day-to-day challenges.
Registration is available online at chambersouth.com, and the Chamber can answer questions at 305-661-1621 or [email protected]. ChamberSOUTH serves South Miami, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay and greater Kendall, and regularly posts new workshops, luncheons and networking events to its online calendar.
Miami’s Community News to Host Networking Breakfast with Elections Supervisor Alina Garcia July 15
Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia will headline a networking breakfast on Wednesday, July 15, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at CasaCuba, 5859 SW 73rd Street, South Miami, FL 33143. The morning event is hosted by Miami’s Community News and presented through ChamberSOUTH, and admission is complimentary.
The timing is notable: with the 2026 election cycle ramping up, Garcia’s office oversees voter registration, polling operations and election administration across Miami-Dade, and the breakfast gives local business leaders and residents a direct line to the county’s top elections official. It is a chance to hear how the Supervisor of Elections is preparing for the year’s contests and to ask questions in a relaxed, face-to-face setting before the day begins.

CasaCuba offers a comfortable South Miami venue for the gathering, and the 7:30 a.m. start is designed to let attendees connect over breakfast and still make it to the office. Because the event is complimentary, organizers expect strong interest, and early registration is recommended to secure a spot.
The breakfast reflects ChamberSOUTH’s role as a convener for South Miami-Dade, bringing public officials and the business community together throughout the year. For business owners, it is an efficient way to combine civic engagement with morning networking.
Registration and details are available through ChamberSOUTH at chambersouth.com or 305-661-1621. The Chamber serves South Miami, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay and greater Kendall.
ChamberSOUTH “Meet the Mayors” Luncheon Set for July 15 at AC Hotel Dadeland
ChamberSOUTH will host its “Meet the Mayors” luncheon on Wednesday, July 15, at the AC Hotel Dadeland, in the second-floor ballroom at 7695 N Kendall Drive, Miami, FL 33156. Registration and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., with the program starting promptly at noon and the event running until 1:30 p.m. Baptist Health South Florida is the major event sponsor.
The luncheon is one of ChamberSOUTH’s premier networking events, putting area mayors in front of the South Dade business community for a midday program built around the leaders shaping the region’s cities. For business owners, it is a rare chance to hear directly from multiple local chief executives in one room, and to network with hundreds of professionals from across South Miami-Dade.
Admission is $70 per person for ChamberSOUTH members and $90 per person for non-members. Reserved VIP tables are available at $500 for a table of eight and $600 for a table of 10.
