The Miami Dolphins youth football programs, in partnership with Baptist\u00a0 Health, impacted <\/span>more than 800 student-athletes and coaches <\/b>across Broward, Miami-Dade\u00a0 and Palm Beach counties during the 2025\u20132026 academic year. Programming included surprise\u00a0 equipment donations, football skill development initiatives and coaching education opportunities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u201cContinued support of youth across South Florida is incredibly important to the Miami Dolphins as\u00a0 we understand the responsibility we have in helping develop the next generation of athletes and\u00a0 leaders,\u201d said Miami Dolphins Vice President of Community Affairs Kim Miller. \u201cWe do this through\u00a0 year-round programming that prioritizes education, access and opportunity, and we are grateful to\u00a0 our partner Baptist Health, who shares that same commitment to stewarding local student athletes and growing the game safely.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The year of programming began with the Junior Dolphins Combine presented by Baptist Health,\u00a0 which welcomed <\/span>more than 500 youth participants <\/b>at the Baptist Health Training Complex. The\u00a0 event gave children the opportunity to test their football skills in a safe, structured and engaging\u00a0 environment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the fall season, the Dolphins supported high school boys tackle football programs with donated resources, <\/span>impacting 225 student-athletes <\/b>across three South Florida schools.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The season of giving began at Spanish River High School where student-athletes interacted with\u00a0 <\/span>Dolphins offensive linemen Patrick Paul and Jonah Savaiinaea<\/b>, who offered guidance and\u00a0 words of encouragement ahead of the season. The Dolphins later visited South Dade Senior High\u00a0 School and Deerfield Beach High School, surprising student-athletes with equipment and\u00a0 resources designed to support their programs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the school visits, Baptist Health Orthopedic Care staff reinforced the importance of player\u00a0 safety, injury prevention, and proper recovery habits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the spring, the Dolphins continued their investment in girls flag football, providing donated in kind and new resources to <\/span>nearly 70 student-athletes <\/b>across three programs. Schools included\u00a0 1A FHSAA playoff contender Somerset Academy in Boynton Beach, 3A FHSAA playoff contender\u00a0 Nova High School, and Felix Varela High School. Student-athletes were surprised with essential\u00a0 equipment including gloves, footballs, SYZMIK protective headgear and additional gear to support\u00a0 training and competition throughout the season.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The initiative supports girls flag football as it continues to grow rapidly across the country, with\u00a0 Florida playing a leading role in the sport\u2019s development. In 2003, Florida became the first state to\u00a0 sanction high school girls flag football, helping pave the way for national expansion. Today, with the NCAA recognizing women\u2019s flag football as an emerging sport, opportunities for collegiate\u00a0 scholarships and Division I pathways continue to grow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Dolphins also hosted the Coaches Clinic presented by Baptist Health, supporting <\/span>more than\u00a0 150 high school and youth football coaches <\/b>through educational programming, on-field\u00a0 instruction and professional development opportunities. Coaches received gift bags including Nike\u00a0 coaches bags, Dolphins hats, Gatorade towels and lunch while participating in sessions led by FIU\u00a0 football staff, USA Football educators and strength and conditioning specialists.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Together, these efforts reflect the organization\u2019s ongoing commitment to educating, empowering\u00a0 and supporting young athletes and coaches across South Florida, while continuing to grow the\u00a0 game of football in a safe, accessible and development-focused environment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As stewards of the game, the Miami Dolphins youth football program remain committed to growing\u00a0 participation in football and flag football while building character, developing skills and creating\u00a0 meaningful opportunities for young athletes across the region. Through strategic partnerships and\u00a0 year-round engagement, the organization continues to expand access to the sport while\u00a0 strengthening the next generation of Dolphins fans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
